      • About Me

        ⸻

From an early age, I sought meaning, connection, and beauty - even in the face of uncertainty. Music became my sanctuary, offering emotional grounding, while mindfulness and meditation later deepened my capacity to meet life’s challenges with clarity and calm.

These early experiences continue to shape my therapeutic approach, which which draws on contemplative psychotherapy, neuroscience-informed care, and trauma-focused frameworks. I emphasize self-reflection as a vehicle for healing and place particular importance on how the brain and nervous system respond to adversity and repair. My personal journey - especially exploring generational trauma through my mother’s experiences in wartime Germany - has strengthened my conviction that healing involves more than addressing individual pain. Trauma is often a legacy carried across generations, shaped by displacement, war, and structural injustice. Its transformation is not only a personal process, but a shared one.

Spirituality has always been central to my understanding of healing. Many traditions teach that well-being is not simply the absence of pain, but the development of inner capacities such as resilience, presence, and compassion that allow us to grow through difficulty and live more meaningfully. I believe healing involves not only reducing suffering, but also expanding our ability to perceive beauty, experience connection, and contribute to something greater than ourselves.

Living abroad in Israel expanded my understanding of human resilience, particularly in contexts of conflict and uncertainty. Witnessing how individuals and communities found strength amid hardship reinforced my commitment to creating spaces for authentic healing.

Outside of my counseling work, I find joy in gardening with my husband, traveling, reading, and creating sea glass mosaics - a practice that reminds me how beauty often emerges from brokenness.

Today, one of my greatest privileges is to offer the kind of presence I once needed myself: someone who listens deeply, honors complexity, and trusts in your ability to grow. While we cannot always change our past, we can transform our relationship with it - and in doing so, begin to reclaim a sense of wholeness.

I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
