      • About Me

        ⸻

From an early age, I sought meaning, connection, and beauty, even in the face of uncertainty. Music became my sanctuary, offering emotional healing, and later, mindfulness and meditation deepened my ability to

navigate life’s challenges with clarity and calm.

These experiences shaped my approach to therapy, which is grounded in contemplative psychotherapy (emphasizing self-reflection as a path to healing), neuroscience (understanding how the brain and nervous system shape emotional responses), and trauma-informed care. My personal journey of understanding generational trauma - particularly through my mother’s experiences in Germany during World War II - has reinforced my belief in the importance of interrupting cycles of suffering. Trauma is not just an individual experience; it is a legacy shaped by historical and systemic forces such as war, displacement, and social upheaval. Healing requires recognizing how these wounds continue to manifest within individuals, families, and communities, and acknowledging that transformation is a shared responsibility.

For me, this journey has also been deeply spiritual. Many spiritual traditions emphasize that true well-being is not merely the resolution of suffering but the development of the capacities that allow us to move through life with greater strength, wisdom, and compassion. Healing is an active process - one that involves not only overcoming pain but also expanding our ability to perceive beauty, cultivate resilience, and contribute meaningfully to the world around us.

Living abroad in Israel expanded my understanding of human resilience, particularly in the face of conflict and uncertainty. Witnessing how people find meaning and strength in adversity reinforced my commitment to creating spaces for healing.

Outside my counseling practice, I enjoy gardening with my husband, traveling, reading, and working creatively with sea glass - an art form that reminds me how

beauty and meaning often emerge from life’s fragments.

Today, my greatest privilege is offering to others the supportive presence I once needed myself - to listen deeply and create spaces where healing can flourish. While we cannot erase our challenges, we have the profound capacity to

        transform our relationship with them.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
